Good News and Bad News

First the good news. Reign-N-Country will be sponsoring Friday night dances again this summer at Towerpoint. The dances begin on Friday April 5 and run through Oct 11.

The bad news is that John Klamm is shutting down the dances at Carriage Manor. The last dance will be Sunday, April 14. His email stated in part:

It’s been FUN!!  And I truly wish to THANK all the dancers that have supported JOHNE’s CABARET DANCES LLC.  throughout the years.   We only have a few dances remaining at Carriage Manor, and Jacquie & I will enjoy them for sure.

We will NOT be sponsoring any dances this summer or next winter due to the decreased attendance this past season at Carriage Manor.   We wish to thank Carriage Manor for the use of their floor this final season.

I would personally like to thank John and Jacquie for the commitment to these dances. They have meant a lot to us. Without these opportunities we probably would not be dancing today.

Back Again

It was great to be back on the dance floor last night, we have really missed it. Our first outing this year and we got to dance to the Sammy Jensen Orchestra at Greenfield Village.

If you get a chance to catch the Sammy Jensen Orchestra it will be well worth your effort. They are very good.

John’e Cabaret Reaches $25,000 Goal

Note from Johne:

To all Dancers, Bands and Donators….

We will have a special event this Saturday June 25th at about 8:15pm at Greenfield Village RV Resort to give $4,000 ($2,000 each) to Sunshine Acres Children’s Home and the Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL – no-kill shelter).  Rich Howard, along with Brad and John, will play for us.  A fantastic trio.

This totals $25,000.00!!!  –  that all the dancers have donated.  WOW!!

One of our dance couples, Eugene & Iona (been married for 58 years), will bake and donate a carrot cake for this special event.  Iona is retiring from the baking business and thought this would be a wonderful donation (and by the way… is looking to pass her baking business on to someone else, a great opportunity for anyone looking to get into baking).

Carol Whitworth from Sunshine Acres and  Monika Sperke from AAWL will attend to receive the donations.  We have so many dancers, band members, and others that have donated to the charities….from $1 to $1,000.  Thank you soooooo much!

Our next goal is $30,000.  And we are already on our way to reach that goal.
