Friday Night Lessons at JohnE’s

Friday night Country Line dances lessons continue this Friday the 24th by Dennis and Kaye Murray at 6:15pm.   Be sure to thank Dennis and Kaye as they donate their time, equipment and energy to help others learn how to dance.
Next Friday night, October 1st, the Dance Doctors will provide Two-Step country dance lessons.  These will start at about 6:10pm.  Beginners to intermediate.  Individuals and couples welcome.
Also coming up on the lesson agenda is Night Club Two Step.  If there is favorable attendance, Johne will ask the Dance Doctors to return.

Mesquite at JohnE’s

Mesquite Country Band played at JohnE’s Friday night. A good band, they really got into their groove after the break, those that left missed a lot of great music. They did one of the best Mustang Sally’s I have heard.

You can see their schedule at here or on the left by clicking on their name.

Tom Ryan’s

Nelda McDaniel
I have heard from more than one source that this is a great place to dance. They have live music on Thursdays (Ladies night), Fridays, and Saturdays. Dancing starts at 9:30pm.
They are located at the NW corner of Arizona Ave and Warner in Chandler (map).
I have not been able to find a calendar, I know that Mogollon is playing next Saturday. You can check out their MySpace page here.

Chad Freeman and the Redline Band

They tell it better than I do:
“Chad Freeman and Redline is a cover band based in the deserts of Arizona. The diversity of these musicians is second-to-none as their mix is almost impossible to classify. With versatility and a broad song list, CF and Redline can adapt to fit nearly any situation. From honky-tonkin to hard-rockin, these guys put on one helluva show!!! “
You can read more about them on their MySpace page or their website at chadfreemanredline.com

Reign-N-Country

Speaking of Reign-N-Country, check out their latest schedule in the band list on the left. Their music is very upbeat and powerful. Melody has done a great job of putting together an excellent set of musicians. They were really great last night at JohnE’s, especially the second half. This is a band you will want to dance to.

Their website is working again and you can check it out at www.reign-n-country.com.

AZ Country

A new venue for dancing in the East Valley. AZ Country had their grand opening July 9th. A Country themed Steak House, Sports bar, and Music venue, they are located at 1300 S. Country Club, the southwest corner of Southern and Country Club, (map).

There is an 11,000 square foot dance floor behind the restaurant and bar.

If you were there last night, let us know how it went.

Their website is www.azcountryusa.com, not much posted there yet, but it just opened.
