New Lesson Opportunity

From Mary Lou Kaye:

We’re looking for about 6 or more fun-loving people to join our group Basic Social Dance 101 class that is forming at Mesa Spirit RV Resort beginning Monday, November 18, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. in the activity hall.  The address of the facility is 3020 East Main Street, Mesa   85213.  This is a new program offered by Mesa Spirit and we’d like to get it off to a rousing start.  We need a few more people so that the special low introductory rate for group classes can be put into effect ….. the minimum number of participants to qualify for a group rate is 12.

The activity hall has a lovely dance floor which will make your dancing feet very happy.  The intro rate of only $80 makes this a very attractive option to jump start your dancing journey.  Don’t forget, all those holiday parties are just around the corner.

Mesa Spirit RV Dance – Saturday, Sept 21

Some of you may be put off with dancing to a DJ Saturday night at Mesa Spirit. It is always great to have a live band, but not always possible. Bill Spotts (Wild Bill) is the DJ this Saturday and has some great music planned.

Bill says ” Here are some of the songs I’ve included in my first set. Could Have Danced All Night and Witchcraft by Sinatra, Just in Time by Tony Bennett, Girl From Ipanema rumba, Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom cha cha, Hernando’s Hideaway tango, Samba Pa, In The Mood by Glenn Miller, Could I Have This Dance by Anne Murray, Blue Danube Waltz, Red Roses Blue Lady by Wayne Newton, The Summer Wind by Barry Manilow, Hoop De Doo and Just Because by Frank Yankovic, Walking my Baby Back Home and L O V E by Nat King Cole, The Night Train for west coast swing, Mack the Knife but not by Bobby Darin, Spanish Eyes by Elvis cha cha, Sway cha cha by Dean Martin, Nobody Till Somebody Loves You by Mills Brothers foxtrot, Sentimental Journey foxtrot, Jump Jiving and Wail by Louie Prima.

Of course I’ll sprinkle in some classic rock and country as well such as Oh Pretty Woman, Sweet Caroline, Margarittaville, Hound Dog, Last Cheater’s Waltz, The Wanderer..

My main goal is to keep the dance floor filled with dancers regardless of whether I play big band, CW or rock.”

Sounds great. I hope to see you there Saturday.
