Reign-N-Country
On Friday, RNC will be at the Mesa Buckhorn Elks from 6 to 10. Located at the NW corner of Main and Power, behind Taco Bell.
Saturday night they will be at Orangewood Shadows from 7:30 to 10:30. BYOB, and its at 3165 E. Universisty.

Back Again
It was great to be back on the dance floor last night, we have really missed it. Our first outing this year and we got to dance to the Sammy Jensen Orchestra at Greenfield Village.
If you get a chance to catch the Sammy Jensen Orchestra it will be well worth your effort. They are very good.

Reign-N-Country
RNC will be performing tonight at Sunland Village for a show and ice cream social. It is located at 4601 E. Dolphin in Mesa. Ice cream is served around 7pm and the music is from 7:30 to 8:30.
Friday night they will be at Sunrice RV Resort from 6 to 9pm. Sunrise is located at 1403 W. Broadway in Apace Junction.
Saturday will find them at Palmos Del Sol from 7 to 8:30pm for a show and dance. Palmos Del Sol is located at 6209 McKellips in Mesa. They will be celebrating the 100th anniversay of Arizona’s statehood. You can call ( 480-254-8092) and purchase tickets in advance for dinner and show. $10 for both dinner and show, or $5 for just the dance. Happy hour is 5:30, dinner at 6pm.
Dance FX Studios
The Dance FX Studios in Mesa are a strictly social dance studio (no competitions or showcases). They encourage their students and AZ residents to come out and learn how to become confident social dancers on a crowded floor with live music.
They host parties every month or so and feature local bands of all genres including Salsa, Swing, Argentine Tango each time. Check them out at www.dancefxstudios.com. Click on the Dance Events picture on the right for an Event calendar.
I have heard good things about Dance FX, give them a try.
Where to go tonight?
If you are not sure where to go tonight check out the Reign-N-Country at the VFW at Phelps Dr, in Apache Junction behind the Pizza Hut. The VFW is opening the doors to the public after 8:00 for only $5.
This is a great dance band, so if you have a chance stop by.
Check out Sylvia’s Arizona Dance Band. They are a 2-piece to 4 piece, depending on the venue.
They play some country, favorite rock numbers, some big band, polka, and of course old time waltzes.

Dancing Opportunities
My beautiful dancing partner has been out of commission for most of the month of December and will be for another six to eight weeks. Consequently, we have not been to any of the dances this month and probably will not be on the floor again until March.
We really miss it and are looking forward to getting back.
This whole thing has put a big dent in my collecting dance information. If you know of any band schedules or venue calendars that I don’t have published please let me know so we can get them posted.
