Dancing Calendars
Thanks.
Desert Drifters
The new schedule for the Desert Drifters has been posted. Check it out.
Road Runner’s Season Opener
Tonight was the Road Runner’s season opener. It was a great night a JohnE’s with about 130 in attendance. The dance floor is really shaping up and the crowd was great. Near the end of the night nearly everyone was dancing.
This is a great band, check out their schedule at their website. They will be back at JohnE’s on Oct. 22, don’t miss them.
Right Place, Wrong Time
First we miss the dance last Saturday night in Kadoka, SD, by a week. Then we were a day early in Gillette, WY, for the Two Step. Last night, in Douglas, WY, we were a week early for the big 80’s dance. Will be glad to get back to Mesa and do some dancing.
Maybe we can find something in Ogden, UT this weekend, but I am not counting on it.
Saguaro Sunset Band
Speaking of Country bands instead of 50’s bands…Saguaro Sunset played at JohnE’s last night and they were absolutely great. A good mix of slow, fast, two-step, cha-cha, waltz, line, etc. This is a great band. Check out their schedule on the left, or at this link.
We are looking forward to their return to JohnE’s.
Shoes Getting Dusty
With my partner laid up with a pulled back muscle, not much dancing has been happening. We did get to dance a couple of nice slow dances at a reception this last Thursday, but that is it. We did not take the chance of re-injuring her back this weekend.
Hopefully this coming week will be better. I have been going over the notes from our classes and we need to go over each and make sure we remember them all. I never realized that retirement would be so busy.
East Coast Swing Class
Well, class started last night. It was good to be dancing again. For some reason it is hard to practice everyday when there is no class.
