Myron Sommerfeld played at Greenfield tonight to a large crowd. His music was as great as ever, good to have him back in the valley.

Venture Out’s dance schedule has been added to the calendar. This is a great venue with a wonderful floor.
Venture out is located at 5001 E. Main St, in Mesa. They are just west of Higley on the south side of Main.

JohnE’s new winter schedule has been posted under Dancing Schedules on the left. The bands have also been posted to the calendar.
Come Dancin’
Lovin’ Life After 50 has been hosting expos for more than 23 years an will have a Health & Wellness Expo & Dance on Thursday, October 20 at the Mesa Convention Center. The Mesa Convention Center is located at 201 N. Center Street – Mesa, AZ 85201. The event is being sponsored by the Banner MediSun Health Plan.
Music at the Dance will be provided by the Rich Howard Orchestra and all dance proceeds will go to the Arizona Senior Olympics.
The Expo starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. The dance will follow the expo from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Admission to the dance is $8 and will be available at the door beginning at 9 a.m.
The Expo will feature more than 50 vendors offering a variety of interesting products and information related to your health.

JohnE’s Cabaret at Towerpoint
Friday and Saturday’s dances at Towerpoint were very successful. The bands were great, Desert Drifters on Friday and Bob Ropollo on Saturday. Plenty of room to dance.
Come join us next week for Debbie and Double Eagles on Friday, and Rich Howard on Saturday.
Johne’s Cabaret Temporarily Moving to Towerpoint
JohnE’s Cabaret, which is normally held at Greenfield Village RV Resort, will be temporarily moving to TOWERPOINT RV RESORT effective August 19, 2011. JohnE’s will be at Towerpoint the remainder of August and is planning on returning to Greenfield on Friday, Septermber 2nd.
Towerpoint is located at 4860 E. Main St. on the north side of main. It is just east of 48th Street. Click here for a map.
Bustin’ Loose Band
Got the chance to dance to Bustin’ Loose again last night. This is a great band. I have not been able to find an online listing of their shows, so if any of you know where I can locate them let me know, I would love to add them to the site.

Went to JohnE’s (Greenfield Village) this past Saturday. It has been a while since we have been to a “Social” dance. The Rich Howard Orchestra was playing and they did their usual great job.
But boy, is my Tango rusty…
and my Polka was none existent…
